Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won an Emmy Award. Her other credits include her role in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney has a father who was an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also the mother of her children. Delaney has four older brothers. She envisioned being a reporter for the court in childhood but started modelling while in high school eventually garnering commercials following her move from New York. She was cast as an innocent child in the 1981 soap-opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been featured in many films television movies and dramas. Delaney has not lived a satisfying or happy life in her personal. The gifted actress was struggling to overcome addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to that failed. The actress lost custody of her son in 2005.
